A foundational, graduate-level course designed for all postgraduate students of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), irrespective of discipline. The course responds to the growing integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools in academic research, knowledge production, and professional practice.
The course equips students with essential conceptual understanding, analytical competencies, and sound academic judgement required to engage responsibly and effectively with AI in graduate-level research and scholarly work. Emphasis is placed on understanding the capabilities and limitations of AI systems, ethical and responsible use, academic integrity, and discipline-specific applications of AI in research and learning.
Through guided discussions, case studies, and practical examples, students will critically evaluate AI-assisted research practices, develop informed decision-making skills, and cultivate responsible attitudes toward AI use in postgraduate studies.
