Welcome to the Office of the Coordinator for Artificial Intelligence Courses at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
At KNUST, we recognise that Artificial Intelligence is no longer a specialised field reserved for a few disciplines; it is a foundational capability that will shape the future of education, research, industry, and national development. Our responsibility, therefore, is not simply to introduce AI tools, but to design a coherent, ethical, and sustainable learning ecosystem that prepares our students and staff for an AI-enabled world.
This office exists to provide strategic leadership in the design and coordination of AI education across the University. Guided by strong curriculum and instructional design principles, we are building competency-driven learning pathways that are inclusive, quality-assured, and responsive to the needs of our diverse disciplines. From foundational AI literacy to advanced self-paced courses and certifications, our focus is on equipping learners with practical skills, critical understanding, and ethical judgment.
We are equally committed to local ownership and sustainability, complemented by carefully selected strategic partnerships that enhance capacity and global relevance. Through collaboration with faculty, colleges, industry, and national stakeholders, we aim to position KNUST as a leader in responsible and applied AI education in Ghana and across Africa.
I invite you to explore our initiatives, engage with our programmes, and join us as we collectively shape the future of learning and innovation at KNUST.
